Recycle Pick Up DELAYS Update

Since the Memorial Day holiday weekend, recycle pick up has been continually delayed. Many residents have expressed concern and if there is a change in pick up days.

For any Facebook users, you can view a posting within the Township-Talk.com page (@TownshipTalk) which is also pasted below for your knowledge as to what is causing the delays:

Thank you Twp Councilman Sean Longfellow for extending the following information for recent trash/recycling delays and pending new contract to Residents: "The Township's contract with Waste Management expired this year which required the Township to go out to public bid for the contract. Gold Medal Environmental, based out of Deptford was the lowest responsible bidder for the contract. Therefore, at tomorrow evenings council meeting there will be a vote to award the solid waste and recycling services to Gold Medal Environmental on August 1, 2016. Waste Management has been behind since Memorial Day and they are attempting to catch up and I apologize for any inconvenience. The Township will be making every effort to make this transition with as few bugs as possible. As always don't hesitate to contact the public works office or your elected officials with any issues you are having."
